The Volks·Baggin Story

Volks·Baggin SeatBag Totes were created by Susie Paquette in early 2005. Since then their popularity has grown internationally, with her bags being sold in a half dozen countries and growing.

Susie moved from New Hampshire to California in 1998 to help her friend Lenny Copp, owner of West Coast Classic Restoration, run his VW restoration business located in Fullerton, CA.

Seven years later Susie's experience, knowledge and learning of the VW auto upholstery options presented the idea of making and selling SeatBag totes from the leftover upholstery materials. Susie attended and vended at many VW Event Calendar. Vendors offered parts, t-shirts, hats, toys, etc… everything for "the men." She realized not much was being offered to the ladies. She thought, "I've got to do something for us girls." That's when Volks-Baggin was created.

Susie brought out her first 50 seatbags at the June VW Classic Show in 2005. All 50 sold that day! And to her surprise, even "the men" loved them and bought them for their wives, girlfriend's and mothers. In December 2006 she won "MOST UNIQUE PRODUCT" award at the Harvest Festival, Original Art and Craft Show.

Three years strong, more than 1000 bags have been sold. She has since added wallets and coin purses and plans on creating a full line of other VW related accessories. "No more scrapes for Susie." She now buys all her own materials. By day you can still see Susie working at Lenny Copps' Restoration Shop.… and by night she's cutting, stitching and making Seatbag's from home.

Susie's greatest hope is that you enjoy these SeatBags and goodies as much
                             as she enjoys making them.
